It’s been a year already?????

Wow, where does the time go?? It seems like just yesterday we were talking about trying to write a blog. And now a whole year has passed.

One of my goals for last year (i don’t make resolutions, to easy to break) was to “write a blog about life on a very small farm, and some stuff and things”. Now that really narrowed down the ideas. Zeroed right in on them sort of.

Now it’s a year later, and we have 49 followers. Some new friends (thanks to Beatrice's efforts), some old friends (who still talk to us). Most we have never actually met but feel really comfortable with.IMG_0682

We’ve really enjoyed sharing our love of food. From  growing it, to cooking it, to eating it and sharing with other folks.

Then there’s been all the fun getting to know many of you better and sharing your ups and sometimes downs. So what’s in store for next year you may ask?????

We’re contemplating a late winter/early spring trip south to see friends and maybe even some of you along the way. As always we will keep you posted along the way.

We will also be Grandparents again this summer around August which will put us in New England, so the farm will reallIMG_0462y be downsized this year.

There will be more ‘Tales from the Green House’ coming to  your computer soon. Monday was planting day for lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, and scallions. How this will turn out i am really not sure. IMG_5541

There will be more food stories.  Recipes, growing stories, tales of ‘Gastronomical Bacchanalias’.

Definitely more road trip sagas complete with pictures, along with tales of the strange and bizarre we find along the way like the “Woodle”. P1010899

Speaking of pictures, you can count on more of those spectacular Beatrice photos and a few of my lame attempts.

Of course there will more of Beatrice's “What is it” contests with great prizes like the ‘Giant Zuccinni that fed  Chicago for a week’ and those wonderful ‘Composter Spins’.

But most important, if any of you happen to be traveling and find yourself on US Route 13 on the Eastern Shore of Virginia we hope you will let us know and maybe even stop and say HI!!!! We’ve been known to let visitors pull weeds, pick veggies, and even give tgothic bearshe old composter a spin. Some have even stayed for dinner and taken a ‘giant zucchinis’ home (after we snuck them in their trunk).

So from Beatrice and I, thank you for sharing this past year with us, and we hope you will hang in for another year.
