Special Birthday

This weekend we were on the road once again – this time to RI for a special celebration – our grandson’s 4th birthday party. As you can see, his theme was . . .

spiderman
SPIDERMAN

A good time was had by everyone, especially the birthday boy. There was a lot of good food, birthday cake, and presents.

It was a long (10 hour) trip from the VA eastern shore, but this was much closer than our cross country trip to CA when he was born. We flew there, saw him within minutes of his birth and shared his 1st Christmas season. We’re really glad that he and his parents live closer now – at least we’re on the same coast.

Oh, four is just about the perfect age for enjoying a birthday party. How great that you were able to be there. Has your hearing returned to normal yet? I remember some very loud birthday parties when my boys were little.

A theme party how fun!I had a friend who is a leap year baby, so for his 40th we had a pirate theme as you would for any 10 year old.

Methinks he made out like a bandit, so somebody call Spiderman. OK, sorry.

What a great cake!
I wish we had had something like that when I grew up :-)

Have a great day!
Christer.

Elaine, the noise level was pretty high at this one and not just from the kids attending - adults as well.

Steve, that sounds like a fun party and one thing about being a leap year child is that aging seems to slow down - or does it?

AC, yes, he certainly did do well as far as lots of toys and so we will be careful not to overload when we visit after Christmas - easier said than done sometimes.

Christer, it was a fun cake and tasted good too with some ice cream on the side. My parents never did birthday parties like this either when I was growing up :-(
