What are These?

Here’s yet another What is This? x 2 .This time the quiz does NOT include veggies or any thing else growing in our garden.

The photo on the left is the bud; the plant leaf is on the right.

Magnolia and Fig?
A new outfit maybe? Fig leaves with magnolia trim? Nah, probably not. Your neighbor would have a stroke.

I don´t think the bottom one is a fig, the leafs looks a bit different, atleast on those figs I´ve seen. I think it is the top one that is a fruit. But I really have no answer on any of them :-)

The pod is from the magnolia tree with the leaf in the next photo from the magnolia tree. the photo underneath is a fig tree, of which I ate 6 last night.. not from that particular... anyway ... Diana

WOW this really got a lot of great responses and a few are CORRECT 100% and others are right 50%. I will post the correct answers by tommorrow morning as we are running out tonight. Hope you all had a good time with this one and THANKS so much for taking the time to post your replies.

Because it is the seed pod of the magnolia and the fig tree leaf.
