Raindrops…

were falling everywhere on Saturday – finally!

It’s here…it’s here – RAIN!  For weeks, you’ve been reading about the a lack of rain at the F&P , but today we finally got some rain showers we’ve been “threatened” with the past couple of weeks.

What really pretty images! So nice! Thanks for the invitation to dinner. We just haven't been able to get there quickly enough. We'll have to arrange it sometime, though!

Happy raindrops!

It's the water...yes..the water...
Such beautiful photo's.
We could use some rain out here in California. The temp is going to climb to 100 by the end of this coming week. I am so dreading it!

My barstools were nearly white...then red..then black seems the best choice because.... actually, I had decided on red, bought the red paint..a few days passed and one afternoon I grabbed a can of spray paint..headed to the back yard and began to spray away...had one stool half done when I realized it wasn't red!!! I went "OH NO!" then recovered and continuted to spray. Now I have black barstools. Devine intervention or age. I shall never know. (Actually I do. It's age!)

p.s. You asked me a question and I totally forgot. I spray painted them...a brush is WAY too slow for me...I would never get anything painted if I used a brush! :)

Nicely done with the photos. With an outdoor concert, we hope to be rainless today. The forecast is positive.

OK! The snow dance worked!!!! The rain dance was too slow - it evaporated before hitting the ground. Melting before hitting the ground was good.
I thought I would sleep in this morning because I did not have to go out and water - but, habit is sometimes an aggravating thing... still up before 6, sigh. .75 inches of rain down here - over here? Where am I?
Nice pics... I was too lazy to go out with the camera.

Hi Lois, glad you enjoyed the imagery - it was enjoyable showing the rain in a different way and the plants were smiling too, I'm sure. And the dinner invite will be a standing one if you are ever in the VA eastern shore area :-)

Yes, Christer, it has been a long drought and this was the first significant rainfall since May which is really a long time ago. We had anywhere from .5 to .75 inches which isn't much, but at least a start. Forecasters are predcicing more rain this coming week...we hope they are right! Wow I just noticed the time stamp on your post is 2:32 a.m. YOUR time?

Thanks for the compliments, MOna. I know you seem to have perpetual water shortages in CA and hope you get some rainfall soon. Temps were close to 100 degrees here recently - only 90s for the coming week. And, spray paint is a big time saver!

AC, hope you have a nice outdoor concert and will look forward to a possible photo on your blog. Thanks for the photos comnpliments. These were taken with the Pentax X90 recently purchased via ebay. Sold the Panasonic Lumix on ebay after getting this one. The Pentax is OK with stationary things. But, it has a tough time with autofocus on moving objects, even the wind blowing flowers.

Morning, Possum and thanks for the rain (er snow) dance...it worked fine, now about next week...the flowers were done in between rain showers yesterday afternoon and fun trying to capture waterdrops while fighting off the skeeters!

AND Thank You Possum for the rain dance even with your sore back.
