Hurricane Trouble!!!!!

Yes siree. We got us a heap of Hurricane trouble on our hands. Last week i started getting our boat ready. When i started the engine for the first time this year it sort of coughed a little and i noticed that the cooling water was not coming out. SOOOOO I shut it down and went back to see what the problem was. Sure enough the water pump seemed to be stuck. Minor detail that i only started the engine once last year. BUT that is not the big problem. The BIG problem is the fuel that’s coming OUT of one of the carbs. Now i am no mechanic but even i know that on an out board engine the water should go in and then come out BUT the fuel should go in AND STAY IN!!!!! YEP some BIG Hurricane trouble…. Oh did i forget to mention that our boat is a Hurricane Deck Boat??????  Sorry.Limulus 1 Tuesday she (Limulus) will go to the boat hospital in Deep Creek to Dr. Jerry to be cured. More on this saga as it unfolds.

Oh, I hope your sweet boat makes a full recovery! You're right about the fuel. It's supposed to be in the engine, not on the water.

So THAT'S how it goes - fuel in and water out. Phew, glad you cleared up my thinking on that one :-) Now about that green side down...

Likely a BP boat in drag. I think they will tell you that you had a stuck float (or float needle), and that it only costs $___ to fix. Use it more often to keep that from happening. And why do you need a water pump for something sitting in the water all the time?
