Fishy Day Trip

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes sent to Grenville earlier this week! He also got cards from family and friends along with some useful gifts too – don’t you just hate it when you get un-useful gifts?
Our day tripping adventure was to the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center in Virginia Beach, about a 90 minute drive from the Frog & PenguINN – nothing is close in a small town.
One thing I found out is that fish are not the easiest subjects to photograph – they  don’t stay still and there’s too many reflections.

Fantastic photo´s! It´s very difficult to take photos in aqauriums, I know because I´ve tried :-) :-)

I grew up just minutes from a small aquarium in Gothenburg and went there as often as I could. They had an alligator, or was it a crocodile? Her name was Smiley and was then the oldest of her kind ever in captivity. She was enormously boring to be honest :-) :-) :-)
Have a great day now!

We DID have a grand time, especially being indoors and away from the continued heat wave here. Thanks, Lois and the otters were such fun to watch having such a good time. Of course, they were swimming in their own large pool when not taking a break and sunning.

Christer, I always try to photograph in aquariums cause I have a camera with me, but am always so disappointed in the results. And I am not sure either of the difference between gators and crocs - both look dangerous enough to me!
