It’s Done!!!!!

The Green House is officially done as of this afternoon. The only hard part was lifting it up, walking it over to the base and then lifting it onto the base. Since we (Bearstones) are only about 6 inches tall we borrowed some human friends to do this part. (Damn they’re tall. Lifted it right up and away it went.)

I put the sun shade on since it was soooo hot inside putting the last touches on like all of the bracing. wlaa anchor

NOW to the solution to the Snag. After much deliberation at the local Hardware Store (OBS) with Dingly’s Mill John and Birdsnest Bill the anchor bolt with a 1.5 inch neck was the final solution. Thanks to all who were good enough to add their thoughts. The entire list was reviewed by the above and the wall anchor was the best. AND anchoring the base to the patio block was not nearly as hard as it appeared. Drill the hole, set the anchor, back out the screw, set the base on, put the screw back in. I’m considering putting myself out for hire as a Green House Consultant.

AND as i was leaving OBS i spotted some patio lights on sale. AND they change colors. AND i’m going to put them in the green house tonight to drive the neighbors crazy

BUT now it is shower time and then out to tend the pork butt that’s sitting in the smoker smoking away for dinner guests tonight. Dinner is 6 pm Lois if you can get here, and bring hubby to see the Green House.

I've always wanted a greenhouse and it was fun to follow you putting it together. Enjoy!

I'll bet it's hot in there. My dad and his were growers (greenhouse men), and for a few years we lived on the property of one nursery. I had a greenhouse outside my front door. But flowers didn't interest me much until about ten years ago, when I woke up one morning and decided that I would like to grow a perennial garden. So I did. When we moved, I got away from gardening for a few years, but I am gradually getting back into it — in more moderate fashion.

Darn it, I think I missed dinner. I'm glad the greenhouse was a success... it's purtier than a new set of snow tires!!!

(Damn they're tall.) This made me LMAO!!!
