Around the Yard

Often, there is no need for words, just images.
This is one of those times – a walk around the yard. Enjoy!

Great job. Color me impressed. Yellows are tough though, aren't they. Underexposing might help. You could try it sometime; most cameras have an exposure compensation adjustment. It usually shows up as a button with a +- symbol. Just don't forget to reset it after.

Hi Ac - thanks for the comments and suggestions (always much appreciated). I have to admit I was lazy and just used the suto setting on this new digital camera (Pentax X90). Won it on ebay with a single bid a couple of weeks ago and trying it out. Just sold a Panasonic Lumix model bought a year ago (also ebay!). Used to own DSLRs (Canon & Pentax) but tired of lugging camera & lenses around so switched to the compact digital megazooms...may return to the DSLRs in a couple of years because they are way better (IMHO). In the past have owned and used 35mm SLRs - Pentax Spotmatics and Takumar lenses were my choice then.

How about you - which digital camera and/or 35mm camera have you used - then and now?

WOW! My place is pretty barren right now, especially compared to yours! I'll have to drive by!

Come on by anytime, Possum, though it's hard to believe our place could have more blooms than yours cause you do have some great flowers!
